a perspective ON NEUTRALITY
Have you ever experienced overwhelm or avoidance with your emotions?
Are you questioning what “neutrality” even looks like in your life?
Have you asked what the point of neutrality is when the world is burning down?
Offered Friday, November 17th | 1-2pm MT | via Zoom | $22
Many people don’t know how to manage the intense waves that emotions can bring, and so may turn to a variety of non-helpful responses – from highly reactive patterns to complete avoidance and dissociation.
Emotional overwhelm can also interfere with truly understanding our intuition, each other, and the world around us.
In this workshop we will discuss the perspective that true neutrality is having permission to be with – to feel, to experience, to learn from – the entire spectrum of emotions.
What!? That sounds hard, right? Let’s explore this more…
We will talk about how neutrality is not the absence of feeling, action, or opinion, but can be a practice we utilize in a container of personal growth to intuitively understand, and access, the deeper layers within us that have extreme charges. Extreme charges of past experiences, programs of shame or fear, the greater collective narratives of right or wrong. Accessing “neutrality” with energy tools can help us to see, and discharge the old patterns of overwhelm, reactivity and avoidance.
All for the purpose of showing up in your everyday life in non-resistance to the feeling part of you, with presence and permission. We will learn a few of basic tools to begin your neutrality practice to be more attuned to your intuitive knowingness, for the sake of becoming fully anchored in your humanity of FEELING.
In this short workshop, you will learn:
Techniques to ground yourself
Energy tools to help you practice neutrality
How neutrality helps you heal so that you can see, feel and know more clearly – in order to take more conscious action in the world, to stand up for what you believe in
That neutrality can help you become more present, intentional and anchored in your truth; yet increase your capacity to be open to other’s perspectives, learn more, and to even change your mind
Why it’s important to not use neutrality as a way to avoid or bypass
Feel It, To Heal It
This workshop will emphasize the importance of ALL emotions to your body/mind/spiritual health and growth, as well as highlight how some modern day spiritual practices misuse the concept of neutrality as a way to bypass the real work of being human.
Yes, feeling can be unfamiliar and very uncomfortable, however with practice we can increase our capacity and resilience for it. We will highlight how the intention is truly about getting to a place of learning, growth and taking action in life – including speaking your truth and showing up for the things that matter – all because you embrace the important teachings emotions have for you.
